The Warriors have been having some, umm, issues at the end of games. The only set Coach Jackson and the team seem comfortable running is “let Monta try and create a shot for himself.” This hasn’t been going well. When Monta has been on the floor during the last 5 minutes of games that are within 5 points, the Warriors have an offensive rating of 99.1 and a defensive rating of 123.5, meaning essentially that they are getting blown out in crunch time when Monta is playing. Here’s an around-the-league comparison of how other teams play in crunch time with their main guy on the floor. Usual small sample size caveats apply, although not in John Wall’s case b/c I don’t care how few games or minutes we are looking at, that is a simply transcendent number. It’s also surprising to see how the Heat are playing in those situations. Or is it?
